Turnbull were contracted to support Hinkley Point C in complying with their environmental permits, to reduce the number of diesel generators on site.
High Voltage Electrical Network
The 11KV electrical network, designed and built by Turnbull, will power multiple operations and equipment across the Hinkley Point C site, including office blocks and Tunnel Boring Machines. Turnbull are providing their distribution network operator services from a local distributor.
We provided a robust, compliant and commercially acceptable proposal for the works and have since successfully demonstrated buildability and programme acceleration. We have also installed a number of additional substations and the provision of accessible crane power.

- Operate and Maintain - Our internal Electrical, Mechanical and Instrument Team play an integral part in ensuring the systems are running and maintained without interruption
